The DA Abroad is the DA’s overseas network of volunteers who are making a difference and contributing to the success of our country, South Africa. We do this through projects and campaigns that are aligned with the DA’s vision of One Nation with One Future underpinned by Freedom, Fairness, Opportunity and Diversity for All.
Our role overseas is significant in raising the profile of the DA and its work in government around the world. We are also in a unique position to draw the attention of foreign governments, business and media, to issues in South Africa and encourage mobilisation of our campaigns internationally.
Aside from our campaign objectives, the DA Abroad also aims to provide South Africans with an opportunity to be part of a global community of passionate South Africans.
We have three broad objectives:
1. To Grow the Democratic Alliance’s voter base abroad. South Africans living abroad can now vote in the national election and we intend to help as many people as possible to be aware and be registered to vote wherever in the world they may be.
2. Spread the DA’s Vision of One Nation with One Future underpinned by Freedom, Fairness and Opportunity for All.
3. Make a real impact on South Africa’s future by creating international awareness and mobilising the international community in defence of our constitution, country and spirit.
