The Power of One: Why YOUR Vote Can Change History
Did you know that in the 2006 Municipal Elections, the Democratic Alliance (DA) won the City of Cape Town in a multi-party coalition by just one seat.
That one seat in the Council changed the trajectory of South African politics.
It allowed an alternative political party to the ANC to show the country how to govern differently – and better. And when people began to see and feel the DA difference, that narrow win created the momentum needed for real change. That one seat went from saving a city to saving a province in 2009 when the DA won the Western Cape by an outright majority.
And now, your vote could have the power to save a country.
With just over 78 000 South Africans registered to vote overseas, your vote could elect an MP to parliament and once again change the future of South African politics.
It is time to take the DA difference to the rest of South Africa. It is the difference that has turned Cape Town into a world-class investor attraction. It is the difference that is creating jobs, fixing infrastructure, and keeping people safer. It is the difference that the rest of the country deserves.
While there is a myriad of reasons why you may currently be living, working, studying, or travelling overseas, your country has never needed you more.
Help the DA bring our amazing track record of government to other provinces and cities. Help us to turn Johannesburg and Tshwane and our metropoles into centres of excellence once again.
Vote DA on the 17th or 18th of May 2024 and help us rescue South Africa!
Please check your diplomatic mission for the correct date as this varies depending on which country you live in.
